Claude Skills for ImmPort
Skills are packaged instructions that Claude loads when a task calls for them. The ImmPort skills teach Claude how to work with ImmPort data efficiently. They build on the ImmPort MCP Server, which gives Claude access to the data.

Skills for preparing and validating data submissions will be added as ImmPort adds submission tools to the MCP server.
Install
claude.ai
- Connect the ImmPort MCP server: see claude.ai.
- Download the skill zips (
immport-study-explorer.zip,immport-tab-analysis.zip) from the latest release. - Upload each zip in Settings → Capabilities → Skills. Organization admins can provision them for everyone in the organization.
Claude Code
Get an ImmPort API key from https://www.dev.immport.org/auth/api/keys (valid for 30 days), then:
export IMMPORT_API_KEY=<your_immport_api_key>
claude plugin marketplace add ImmPortDB/immport-skills
claude plugin install immport@immport
The immport plugin installs both skills and starts the ImmPort MCP server
(uvx immport-mcp, which needs uv)
with your IMMPORT_API_KEY. You don't need to add the MCP server separately.
